Financial Classes offered – Your Money Your Future – September 8, 15, and 22, 2016

Life is not about money. However, how people manage their money impacts their quality of life, their family’s life and the life of their community. A new course from Iowa State University Extension and Outreach provides the tools Iowans need to work toward financial goals.


“Your Money, Your Future begins Thursday, September 8, 2016,” said Susan Taylor, Human Science Specialist Family Finance. “In this three-part course you’ll learn how to make your money work for you.”

 The course covers how to understand spending, use financial management resources and build personal financial management skills. ISU Extension and Outreach, Dubuque County and Bank-On Dubuque are the key sponsors.

 The course meets on Thursday, September 8, September 15 and September 22. All sessions are from 6:00 PM to 7:30 PM at the Prescott Resource Community Center, 1151 White Street, Dubuque. IA. The course fee is $15 for all three sessions ($5 per session) and there are funds for scholarships.  Pre-registration is required by July 29.  To register contact Susan Taylor, at 563 583 6496 or
